Family Fall Style

I'm done taking a vacation from my blog! ;P.  I know I've been gone way too long from here but the most important thing is that I'm back! :)

We had family pictures scheduled this weekend for a fall photo shoot.  The bummer part was that it rained having us reschedule for a different day.  I was totally bummed.  Getting myself glam and baby ready is a total production.  It took a while, every mommy knows that getting ready with a toddler is not as easy as it once was before kids.  My tip for mommy's who need to get ready for a special occasion is get as most of the getting ready part done while your child takes a nap.  Do it and don't procrastinate if not you'll pay the price later! lol ;)

This fabulous dress is from Nasty Gal which has a mid slit in the front.  Totally in love with it.  This is the type of fall dress every woman needs in their closet, like seriously.  There are soo many ways you can wear it.  For instance I paired it with some Zara heeled sandals.  You can also wear it with boots or booties that have a chunky, stiletto, or wedged heel.  I am also envisioning a leather tie belt or any belt for that matter will give this dress some flare.  Add a faux fur vest to get even trendier with it.  And of course you can't forget about a fabulous floppy fall hat. You really are getting your bang for your buck when you invest in such a versatile fall dress like this one.

And by the way Nasty Gal has amazing customer service and their sales are amazing! Go check them out! Nasty Gal
I wore my hair in a side part and gave my hair a blow out to add some volume and a little curl.  Makeup was emphasised on the liner and mauve pinky cheeks with a neutral lip.

Pictures last a life time so I decided to dress up and style the family. I wanted us to look our very best
Since we were dressed to the nines I decided to have a mini iphone session outside our house.  I was not about to let all that hard work go to waste haha.  The hubby wore an outfit from TJ Maxx and H&M shoes.  Manny's outfit is from H&M and shoes are from Target.

What do you guys think?  I think we nailed it.  I can't wait to bring you the professional pictures once we take them.  And by the way that wreath on the front door is a fall wreath I made.  I'll make sure to make a blog post on that as well.

xoxo,
Marilu
