Perfect New Years Eve Makeup Look

There is just something about blondes!  They are eye catching and head turning.  I had the absolute pleasure of doing Gretchen's makeup for a date night with her husband.

This was a before and after of Gretchen.  She is beautiful in the before but she is va va voom in the after.  To even out the skin tone I used MACs Prep and prime primer.  One of it's ingredients is Green Tea Extract and Mulberry Extract which help minimize redness.  As you can see in the after the redness is completely gone with more even skin tone.

Another great way to minimize redness is using color correctors.  You always want to use more of a green tone or yellow tone correctors to cancel out any redness.  If you get confused on color correcting I suggest really getting familiar with Color Theory.  It will help you understand more of the basics.

A great medium to buildable coverage foundation is ideal in achieving a perfect skin tone.  I used MACs prolong wear foundation in NW15.

If you want your gorgeous baby blues to pop especially if it's for a nice evening out I suggest using colors that are gold tones, beige's, copper colors.  Naked 1 and 2 palettes are ideal to achieve this look I did on Gretchen.  To get that pop of shimmer on the lid I used  Blonde Streak pressed Pigment by MAC cosmetics.

Gretchen has a deep set eye so I emphasized the dark on the outer corners.  If I would have put too much dark on the crease it would really close her eye.  Instead I wanted to elongate it.

These are just a few tips I thought I'd share for Blonde beauties or beauties who have blue eyes.  Although anybody can wear these color and look fab.  This makes great eye makeup for NYE!

Marilu
